As you check out the Legislation listed, please be aware that most didn’t have much hearing because the thirty day session is about the New Mexico budget. While the Governor allowed (messaged) other Legislation, it was not a priority. Included in House Bill 2 (the state budget bill) is language which will provide access to more than $3 million. The fund is to be used to assist dual eligible patients and pharmacies with Medicare Part D problems. Language will be worked out to implement procedures. If you get a chance to speak with Representative Heaton, please thank him for his work on behalf of pharmacists in New Mexico. There were many issues of concern and he helped and supported us! We can’t thank him enough for his support over many years. Talk to your Legislator about the need for support in future Legislative efforts!
